ABOUT ME
Unveiling my inner Journalist
My journalistic journey commenced with a profound appreciation for media. From my early years, I enthusiastically wielded my mini iPad camera, capturing moments and expressing thoughts. This curiosity evolved into a passion for filmmaking, presenting, and even mock interviews with imaginary celebrities. Growing older, my fascination with technology introduced me to news, social media platforms, and the realm of publishing.
As my curiosity deepened, so did my determination to thrive in the industry. Observing seasoned newsreaders on television fuelled my aspiration to follow in their footsteps. The pivotal moment occurred during my college years when I engaged in work experience at a local radio station, affirming my commitment to becoming a broadcast journalist.
Birmingham City University played a vital role in honing my skills, preparing me for the challenges of the dynamic media landscape. Proficient in communication, writing, and various media platforms, I am poised to embark on the next phase of my journey. Stay tuned for insightful blog updates as I strive for new milestones, with the ultimate goal of gracing the big screen.
"The best presenters have conversations with their audiences".
WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO?
Portfolio of Work
My work allows me to hone my skills in preparation for a career in journalism. I produce and publish news items from all perspectives and themes! Not to mention radio news bulletins, which is my favourite type of journalism. I'm currently putting my writing abilities to use for Birmingham Eastside.
DISRUPTIVE PUBLISHING : MY FIRST LISTICLE
Perfect Execution
After beginning a new module, I learnt how to write my first listicle. A listicle is a type of short-form writing that uses a list as its thematic structure yet is sufficiently filled out with content to be published as an article.

CREATIVE CITIES CONVENTION 2022
Bumped into Adil Ray and had to capture this moment! It was definitely a fan girl moment
I was fortunate to be able to attend the Creative Cities Convention in Birmingham! My job was to shadow Kirsty Wark, a television presenter and well-known journalist. I learnt a lot from her and was inspired by her incredible hosting and preparation abilities. I sat in on a number of intriguing production meetings, including those with Channel 4 CCO Ian Katz and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
